THE man branded a ‘grass’ by the most obvious graffiti in Dorset has said – ‘it’s a load of rubbish’.

The accusation against Micky White has repeatedly been painted on a footbridge over the A338 Spur Road.

The latest message even gives the 48-year-old’s exact address in Boscombe, in Bournemouth.

Mr White told the Echo: “I’ve lived here 14 years, I’m very well known by a lot of people and they all know it’s a load of rubbish.

“The people that don’t know me, it doesn’t bother me.”

Mr White lives with his long-term partner Mandie in a beautifully-kept housing association house.

The forklift truck driver, retired through a back injury, believes the messages are being painted by a man with a grudge who was arrested for an assault.

He said the graffiti had been repainted at least 10 times over the past year. “I’ve had no trouble, people have been very supportive,” said Mr White, who has a bundle of supportive letters from neighbours.

He admitted the stress had been getting to him, though – he is undergoing heart check-ups.

Mandie said: “You [The Echo] are the first person that’s come to the door about it. People know the truth. They laugh at the graffiti – they think it’s pathetic.”

Dorset Police are investigating and have carried out forensic tests.

Mr White praised Dorset County Council for their ‘brilliant’ clean up work. “They try and do it straight away,” he said.

He added: “The council said they have got to catch him. It’s costing a lot of money. The police have to set up a rolling roadblock each time while they work.”

Dorset County Council said its relevant officer is away until Tuesday and is not available for comment.

Dorset Police did not comment.
