Why, now the general election is over, are we all sitting back accepting all the politicians say, and are now starting to do, to impose cutbacks and tax increases on everyone in the country?

It is so unjust that many ordinary workers will lose their jobs, their standard of living and even their homes when the cause of all this financial mayhem lies with the capitalist society, and in particular the banks.

These banks have been lent billions of pounds from the taxpayer yet they still expect their huge wages and indecent bonuses.

Get this money back before we start sacking ordinary folks!

Our system is rotten. Why is it we can give huge salaries to footballers in clubs that are financially bust, similar amounts to TV ‘smarties’ who in truth create little for society and a £1.2 million bonus to the BT boss while his workers have to put up with minimum returns from the company’s record profits?

And, of course the huge bank salaries – which only come about through tmoving money from one pile to another and back again.

It is high time we structured society in a manner that will reflect the value we should place on the product creators and value added inputs which come from manufacturing, our care services and those in everyday jobs which bring quality to our society.

Forget the yuppies and the smart movers and shakers in the City.

If they were lost not one of us would miss them; we would however quickly miss the efforts which come from those who toil day and night to keep our society whole and hearty.

A review of the voting system?

What our politicians need to be doing is to carry out a value assessment for some of the roles we expect people to fill in this country and provide rewards which match the value we should attach to them.
