ROBERT Walter, the Conservative candidate for the North Dorset constituency, will be hitting the campaign trail in the district’s four major market towns this weekend (17/18).
Mr Walter – who has won the last three elections in the constituency – will judge the children’s baking competition at the Shaftesbury Local Food Festival in Swan’s Yard at 11.30am on Saturday (17).
At midday, he will attend the “Decent lunch for Max” event at Gillingham Rugby Club in honour of the club’s former captain, Max Biles, who died tragically last November aged just 29.
On Sunday, Mr Walter will be a guest at a civic service at St Mary’s Church in Sturminster Newton to mark the end of the chairmanship of the town council by Cllr Victor Fox.
