PORTCHESTER School in Bournemouth has been ranked as satisfactory in its latest report from government inspectors.
Though attainment at the Harewood Avenue boys’ school was rated inadequate, students were said to progress at twice the national average rate.
Behaviour and quality of teaching were also rated satisfactory, with leadership and management said to be good.
The specialist sports college has 865 students aged 11to 16.
