A new year has brought a new start for a new head teacher in Blandford.
Jo Hicks has taken the helm at the Archbishop Wake School on Black Lane in her search for a new challenge.
Mrs Hicks was the head teacher at St Gregory’s Primary School in Marnhull for four years and is getting up to speed at her new school.
“Archbishop Wake is a lovely school and I’m really enjoying it.
“I was looking for a new challenge, something to get my teeth in to, and was interested in coming to a larger school,” she said.
Mrs Hicks has taken over from acting head teacher Alan Frame, who has resumed his place at the helm of Downlands School at Blandford Garrison.
