PLANS are forging ahead for a protest march against the closure of the Kube gallery in Poole.
A Facebook group, Save the Kube, now has more than 1,000 members and an online petition launched on Monday already had more than 450 signatures by yesterday afternoon.
Campaigners are planning a march through Poole on Saturday. It will start at 10am at Old Orchard Plaza and head up the High Street as far as North Street. The group will head down North Street to bypass the top end of the High Street as the town market will be on, then head round towards the Light-house, and on to The Kube at the Bourne-mouth and Poole Coll-ege on North Road.
March organiser Isaac Sigley told the Echo he “strongly urged” people from across the art world to show their support.
He is planning a performance at the end of the march, and invited artists to do the same.
