Christchurch and East Dorset Liberal Democrat Party have re-elected former councillor John Freeman as chairman at their recent AGM.
Following the AGM, Martin Hurll was unanimously elected as Liberal Democrat prospective parliamentary candidate for Christchurch in the next general election.
Martyn and his wife Mary have lived in the area all their lives and their son Alex attends St Peter’s School.
The candidate said this was the time for a fresh start in the wake of the MPs’ expenses scandal and that he hoped to be as good as an MP as Diana Maddock, when she represented the constituency.
