MP JULIE Kirkbride is reported to be withdrawing her resignation over the expenses scandal.
Mrs Kirkbride wrote to David Cameron to say she would not seek re-election for her Bromsgrove constituency" after becoming embroiled in the MPs' expenses scandal in relation to her housing claims.
She and her husband, also an MP, were claiming second home allowance on two different properties - their house in Bromsgrove and their house in London - meaning all their accommodation was paid for by the taxpayer.
Mrs Kirkbride also came in for criticism when it was revealed her Dorset-based sister, Karen Leadley, was being paid £12,000 to act as her secretary from her home in Corfe Mullen.
But according to ConservativeHome.com, Mrs Kirkbride last night told a meeting she did want to be considered as a candidate for the next election after all.
