A book by an elderly lady from Bournemouth has been broadcast on a national radio station.
Part one of “Goodbye Mr Bigelow” – a collection of letters written by former secretary Frances Woodsford to American widower Paul Bigelow between 1949 and 1961- was broadcast yesterday on Radio 4.
The book will be serialised throughout the week on the station’s Book of the Week programme and broadcast between 9.45am and 10am until Friday (30).
Miss Woodsford, 95, will be signing her book at Gullivers Bookshop on Wimborne’s High Street on Wednesday (28) at 11am.
