A 30-FOOT pig snuffled and snored on the Minster Green while an amused audience wearing piglet tails looked through its belly.

Two actors from Whalley Range All Stars performed a 10 minute show inside the animal, during the first Street Arts Festival in the town.

Wimborne was also invaded by lost aliens the Coneheads, lost tourists with pink suitcases and the Flowerpot Heads who provided traffic- stopping scenes and a lot of laughs from bemused shop owners and shoppers.

East Dorset District Council officer Tracy Cooper said the event had been well supported.

“Our aim was to offer something different for all ages, bring more people into Wimborne to visit the shops and engage shoppers with great street arts,” she said.

“We had a lovely crowd who came out to bask in the sun, and enjoy the entertainment. The day was a big success and something to build on in future years.”
