CONSERVATIVE Party leader David Cameron is coming to Canford Heath next week and inviting residents to quiz him face to face.

The audience will be free to ask whatever they like at the ‘Cameron Direct’ event, billed by the party as a “return to the old-style town hall meetings, where politicians stand up in front of a crowd and answer questions from local residents.”

The meeting, next Thursday at Haymoor Middle School, Ashdown Close, from 5.30pm and 6.30pm, will be chaired by the Daily Echo’s news editor Andy Martin, and filmed to feature in a Party Political Broadcast for the Conservative Party.

Tickets are free, but must be obtained in advance.

Nick King, Mid Dorset and North Poole’s Conservative Parliamentary Candidate said: “We’re delighted David Cameron is coming back to Mid Dorset and North Poole.

“It’s a great opportunity for everyone – of any political persuasion – to come along and raise their issues, questions and concerns with him.”

“David Cameron has already visited our area to talk to campaigners about the threat to our Green Belt and the effects of the recession.

“There are of course many other concerns local people have over issues such as local infrastructure, council tax, anti social behaviour and not least how we restore trust in politics and politicians.

“All these issues can be raised. It is the members of the public who set the agenda for the evening – whatever the question, issue or concern, it will be answered.”
