A Halloween light trail at a popular country park has been cancelled due to stormy weather.
The Halloween Illuminated Trail at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest was due to launch tonight, Friday, October 23, at 6pm.
However, organisers have now confirmed tonight’s event has been cancelled due to the weather conditions.
Visitors who had been due to attend are being invited to rebook for another evening.
Organisers said: “Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, tonight’s Halloween event at Moors Valley has been cancelled.
“We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this causes and would love to welcome you along on another evening instead.”
Those wishing to attend on a different date can rebook their tickets, although organisers said they are still waiting for confirmation on whether Saturday’s event will go ahead.
The cancellation comes after Moors Valley Country Park and Forest closed to daytime visitors on Friday because of the forecast weather conditions.
