The Motor Fuel Group Limited wants to redevelop Fairmile Service Station in Fairmile Road to knock down an outbuilding and the existing hand car wash to make way for a single-storey extension to house a Greggs food-to-go shop.
The plans also include demolishing a car workshop at the rear of the site to install two enclosed jet wash bays, a plant room, bin stores and revised car parking.

Christchurch Town Council has formally objected to the application, warning of insufficient transport evidence and severe traffic impacts.
The town council said the development would cause unacceptable noise and disturbance for neighbours from the jet washes and does not fit the emerging Christchurch Neighbourhood Plan.
A total of 159 representations have been made, highlighting concerns including road safety, increased accidents, heavy congestion near a school, litter, 24-hour jet wash noise, pollution and a loss of community services.
It has previously been reported that the current owners face losing their business and home if the scheme goes ahead.
The plans will be considered at a planning meeting on October 27.
