A holiday park is promising a “spooky not scary” getaway this Halloween with magical lights, glowing cauldrons and family fun.

Away Resorts is bringing back its popular 31 Days of Halloween across 10 of its parks, including Sandy Balls Holiday Village near Fordingbridge.

The programme, full of family-friendly activities and entertainment, runs until November 8.

Samantha Storey, experience delivery manager at Away Resorts, said: "Halloween at Away Resorts gets bigger and better every year, and our month-long celebrations mean families can enjoy the 'spooky not scary' season ahead of and beyond Halloween weekend.

"We’re very fortunate to have an incredibly passionate team on every site that makes each immersive experience just as special as the next and we’re proud that our guests are returning every year to take part in the activities and experiences our teams put so much effort into.

"With even more happening this year, we’re giving families more reasons than ever to dress up, join in and make hauntingly magical memories together."

The programme includes messy fun in Potions & Smells, the Franken-slime GOO Laboratory and Hocus-Pocus Pottery Painting.

Children can also enjoy pumpkin carving, the Trick or Treat Treasure Trail, and the return of the Boo Crew, who help guests earn their own “licence to scare” by collecting badges throughout their stay.

At Sandy Balls, the magic continues after dark with two exclusive experiences.

The Forest of Light Halloween transforms the ancient woodland with twinkling lights and colour-changing effects every evening from 5pm to 10pm.

Guests can also gather for The Enchanted Cauldron, a fireside event where the forest is illuminated and visitors can throw Witches Dust into the flames to watch them turn vibrant colours.

The Halloween Jam-BOO-ree, Bear’s in the Woods and Kids House Party: Brain Rot Invasion add to the entertainment, along with a silent disco hosted by DJ Bones.

Other activities include Halloween tie-dye, Boo Crew HQ role play and a Tricks & Treats session featuring spooky snacks and crafts.

The Halloween events run from October 2 to November 1 across most parks, with extended dates at Sandy Balls and Tattershall Lakes until November 8.

All activities are designed to be fun and child-friendly, providing an immersive seasonal experience without the scares.
