ADAM Smith equalled Keith Miller as the fifth-highest appearance maker for the Cherries as he made his 433rd appearance for the club when he led the team against Sturm Graz in the Europa League.

Boss Marco Rose joked that Smith could 'have one beer' to celebrate the milestone as the right-back impressed against Graz in Bournemouth's 3-0 win in their first-ever home European game.

"If you watch him tonight, you saw that he's our captain," Rose told the Daily Echo.
"You felt it before the game. You felt it in the game.
"He was the one who said some words after Chelsea.
"And yeah, the way he acted today, it's just our captain and he can be really proud to be such a long time with the club, to make this journey so far.
"He should enjoy this night and he is allowed to have one beer!"
