Closures in Wareham and Sandford are temporary and will be in operation as signposted on site.

Works in Wareham will take place from September 30 to October 8.

Affected roads include:

  • Sandford Road, from the Station Roundabout to the A351 Wareham Bypass.
  • Church Street, from the junction with Church Green to East Street.
  • Wyatts Lane, from the junction with Church Street to East Walls.
  • East Walls, from the junction with East Street to Conniger Lane.

Parking restrictions and clearways will also be in place as indicated on site.

Any vehicles found parked in contravention may be removed under the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

The council has stated that although the order is valid for 18 months from September 30, works are expected to be completed by October 8.

In Sandford, maintenance and resurfacing works will affect the following roads from September 28 to October 6:

  • Keysworth Drive, from the junction with the A351 to Keysworth Level Crossing.
  • Tyneham Close, in its entirety.
  • Morden Road, in its entirety.

Parking restrictions and clearways will also apply as indicated by signage.

The 18-month order for these works will come into effect on the date of commencement, but the work is anticipated to be finished within the given timeframe.

In Church Knowle, a road closure will be in place to allow Wessex Water to install a flow meter in the sewage pumping station.

The closure will affect the C27 from the access to Bucknowle Farm to a point approximately 310 metres to the east, in both directions.

The order will be in force from October 5 and will last for 18 months, although works are expected to be completed by October 16.

An alternative route will be signposted via the A351 and C27.

Further information about the works and access arrangements is available by contacting Dorset Highways on 01305 228100, or Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600.

Anyone using or permitting the use of a vehicle in contravention of these notices may be liable to a fine not exceeding £1,000.
