A teddy bears’ picnic brought laughter and childhood memories to life for care home residents.
The event took place at Colten Care’s Amberwood House in Ferndown, Dorset, where residents, relatives, and staff gathered to share their favourite teddy bears, some of which were said to be aged in their 90s.
Betty Chalkly, a resident who attended the picnic with her husband Bill, said: "It was fantastic.

"We really enjoyed seeing all the teddy bears and sharing the memories they brought back.
"It was such a lovely afternoon."
The event featured marmalade sandwiches, scones, and lemonade, along with a teddy parade and quiz.
Nicky Stevens, a companion at the home, joined the fun dressed as a life-size teddy bear, adding to the smiles and laughter.
Kerry Mason, home manager, said: "Our picnic was a lovely celebration of childhood nostalgia and personal histories.
"It was heart-warming to see the residents enjoying themselves so much."
Amberwood House is one of seven Colten Care homes currently rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
