The family of an "extremely" vulnerable man are appealing to the public for help to locate him after not hearing from him for almost 24 hours.

Joshua Griffin, 27, known as Josh, has reportedly been missing for almost 24 hours, with his last known whereabouts reported in Ringwood.

Joshua's family have stressed he has no phone, is "extremely vulnerable" and suffers from seizures, which can happen at "anytime".

He was reportedly last seen on Tuesday, September 8 at 5pm, after being dropped off at the back of a Sainsbury's shop in Meeting House Lane, Ringwood.

Joshua's mother Faith Whitcher said he was last seen wearing black trousers, a black hoodie and white trainers.

She said: "He's a very vulnerable adult - please contact us ASAP if you have seen him or know where he is."

In a message directly to Joshua, Faith added: "Please contact mum.

"We just want to know you’re safe."

In a Facebook post, his family also said: "If you’ve seen Josh or have any information, please contact the police immediately.

"His family are extremely worried."

The police have reportedly been notified.

Anyone with information or knowledge of Joshua's whereabouts can contact Dorset Police online or by phone.

UPDATE:
The family of Joshua have confirmed to the Bournemouth Daily Echo that he has been located and is now in contact with them.
