Police were called to a report of a domestic assault at a property in Berwick St John where Moore was arrested at the scene.
PC Layton, based in Melksham CID, said: "Moore’s behaviour was absolutely shocking, and I want to commend the victim for the immense bravery and resilience that she has shown throughout this case.
"Her courage in coming forward and detailing the assault that happened means that Moore has been convicted and will face consequences for his actions.
"Tackling violence against women and girls is a force priority and we will continue to prosecute those who commit these offences."
Police said the victim did not suffer serious injuries.
An investigation found that Moore assaulted the victim after refusing to leave the property when asked.
He also took control of her phone and denied her access to it.
Moore was charged and later convicted.
He has been bailed and is due to be sentenced on November 13.
