Skiers will soon be able to fly straight to the Alps from Bournemouth.

A new direct route from Bournemouth Airport to Innsbruck in Austria will operate weekly between December 20, 2027 and March 4, 2028.

The TUI Airways flight is part of a Crystal Ski Holidays package.

Scott Britton, head of Crystal Ski Holidays, said: "We know value and convenience are front of mind for customers when they plan their ski holiday, which is why this new route from Bournemouth to Innsbruck is such an exciting addition for travellers based near the south coast.

"Flying from a local airport makes getting away easier."

Innsbruck is known as the capital of the Alps, and Austria’s Tyrol region is home to world famous resorts including Mayrhofen, Obergurgl, Sölden and Seefeld.

Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, said: "The addition of Innsbruck further strengthens Bournemouth's growing range of destinations and gives customers even more choice when planning their winter holidays.

"Flying locally means a quicker, easier start to the journey and we're delighted to be working with TUI to offer direct access to one of Europe's premier ski regions."

Crystal Ski packages include flights, accommodation, and transfers.
