MYSTERY surrounds the apparent sudden closure of a popular bike shop in Bournemouth.
Customers said they turned up at Primera Sports to pick up their bikes but the shop was shut, the phone line disconnected and the website and social media accounts deleted.
When the Daily Echo visited the shop in Charminster Road on Friday, August 28, the premises were closed and customers said they had not been made aware.
Neighbouring shop E-performance is also shut, which is under the same ownership.

Dan Cabell purchased a bike from Primera Sports at the beginning of the year which is currently in the shop for a service.
The 35-year-old said: "I arranged with them to collect it today. When I arrived, everything was shut up, and nothing, all socials down, phone line disconnected and no bike.
"They'd even told other customers to come and collect their new bikes, one gentleman who paid £4,000 was collecting it today.
"It is really disappointing that they haven't had the decency to contact to inform anyone what is going on.
"All of their social medias have gone, website is down and their phone number is blocked."
Dan, who has a charity ride mid September, said: "They knew I was purchasing this bike solely for the charity ride and now I don't have a bike to do it with.
"I am now unsure whether I'm going to be able to participate in the grand fire ride, gutted."
Mr Cabell has reported his bike stolen to the police.
Mike Evans, a Primera Sport customer, bought a bike from the shop three months ago and took it in last week to have it serviced "free of charge".
He said: "They phoned me yesterday to say the bike had been serviced and to come pick it up this morning, so I have come this morning and the shop is obviously closed.
"It's a bit concerning, I have a £3,500 bike in there that I can't get a hold of at the moment.
"I have to say they have been very friendly and helpful up until today.
"I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason as to why they're closed at the moment."
A staff member at Co-op, which is situated opposite Primera Sports, said: "It is really odd for them to be shut."
They said: "Sunday and Monday they are usually shut, but today the shutters are down. It is very unusual."
