Bournemouth and Swanage have been named among the UK’s best-value spots for renting a beach hut.
A recent study by Monzo, which analysed the cost of more than 1,000 beach huts in 19 coastal authorities, found Bournemouth Beach offers the joint-third cheapest daily hire in the UK at £30 per day, while Swanage Beach (Spa Beach Huts) takes second place at £26.
Shore Beach Huts on the upper level on Swanage Beach also ranked joint-third at £30 per day.
The average daily cost of renting a beach hut across the UK during the summer is £56, with weekly rates averaging £223.
A spokesperson for Monzo said: "Booking by the week can dramatically reduce costs.

"In East Suffolk, booking seven individual days would cost £210, while a weekly booking costs just £100 – saving families £110 (52 per cent)."
Beach huts remain a staple of the British seaside experience, offering shelter and storage just steps from the sand.
More than half (57 per cent) of the beach huts analysed have home comforts such as electricity, kettles, and running water.
Swanage also ranks highly for weekly value, with Spa Beach Huts available for £151 per week and Shore Beach Huts (Upper Level) at £190.
Monzo’s research suggests travellers can save even more by booking outside of peak summer months, with shoulder-season prices averaging 57 per cent less than summer rates.
In spring and autumn, daily hire in Swanage drops to just £8.50, making it a budget-friendly option for a day by the sea.
