THE Cherries are expecting six players to return to training from injury and suspension ahead of next weekend’s trip to Manchester City, Marco Rose said.
Bournemouth were without 11 first-team players for their trip to Mainz this weekend, mostly through injury, although Alex Scott was suspended.
Julian Araujo, Veljko Milosavljevic and Junior Kroupi are all long-term absentees, and Amine Adli is set for a spell on the sidelines after he was forced off last weekend vs Real Betis.

The injury issue meant Bournemouth were forced to ask Mainz to cancel a planned second friendly, that was due to take place on Saturday morning before the game in the afternoon at the Mewa Arena.
Giving an injury update, Rose told the Daily Echo: "We went here to play two games normally and we skipped one game because we are in the situation we are, too many injuries.
"Thanks to Mainz that they agreed and confirmed with us.

"The injured players, we planned the week like they are coming back for the City game. Not everyone for 90 minutes.
"But I think Tyler [Adams] is on a good way to get back in the team training next week. [David] Brooksy is on a good way. Julio [Soler] is on a good way. Álvaro [Rodriguez] is in a good way.
"We have Scotty next week for sure. So I think next week we have five or six players more to choose for City.
"And that's very important for us because it's not just about this game. Everyone knows that we're going to have many games next season."

Juanlu Sanchez is yet to feature for Rose’s side since his arrival from Sevilla, as he missed last weekend’s game against Real Betis and was again absent for the Mainz match.
"Juanlu came with a small injury," Rose said.
"The injury was gone, but the problem was that he had not enough training load. So that's what the data shows.
"That's why we need to take care about him. We have to bring him in the right spot, on the right level physically to compete in training and in Premier League games.
"But he's in team training as well next week. So this is the sixth one. So yeah, good, good things."
