A NEW exhibition celebrating light, water, and the coast is now on display this month.
Work by watercolourist Cathy Veale is being showcased at Durlston Country Park’s Fine Foundation Gallery until August 23.
Cathy is known for her luminous seascapes and coastal paintings, which draw inspiration from the changing moods of the Jurassic Coast.
Shannon Dugdale of Durlston Country Park said: "We’re very excited for Cathy to be exhibiting here in our gallery.
"It really is the perfect setting for her paintings, with it’s spectacular sea views!"
The exhibition, titled Interaction of Light, features paintings and limited-edition prints.
The display focuses on the artist’s exploration of how light and colour interact with water in ever-changing ways.
A long-time admirer of the coast, Cathy draws inspiration both from land and sea.
Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
The exhibition is open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
