A team of care home staff have taken fundraising to new heights.
Carers from Upton Bay Care Home in Hamworthy, run by Barchester Healthcare, completed a sponsored skydive, raising £4,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society after jumping from the skies on Saturday, August 1.
The team said: "Our goal for taking part in this challenge was to raise awareness of the fantastic job Alzheimer’s Society does for the people and the families they support.
"Everyone at Upton Bay has been really supportive."

One of the carers, Louise, said: "I am usually a little afraid of heights but it was for such a good cause so that kept me focused.
"I would do it again in a heartbeat."
Mevin Sohorye, home manager at Upton Bay Care Home, praised the team.
He said: "I am incredibly proud of Lauren, Louise, Bebe, Leah and Kate for taking on such a brave challenge for a cause that means so much to many of our residents and families.
"Their commitment, teamwork and kindness have been truly inspiring, and raising over £4,000 for Alzheimer’s Society is an amazing achievement."
Residents, their relatives and staff at the home were cheering them on as they aimed to beat their target goal.
