An award-winning tutor is hosting a community event for families and educators in Dorset later this month.
The Dorset Education Conversation, organised by Poppy Parmar-Phillips, will take place at Rockwater Branksome on Wednesday, August 26 at 5.30pm.
The event, which is the first of its kind, aims to bring families, educators, schools, and local specialists together in a welcoming environment.
Parents will have the chance to speak openly with experts on various topics, including special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), neurodiversity, children's mental health, entrance exams, school choices, and educational psychology.
Professionals from across the community, including representatives connected with Mind, an educational psychologist, neurodiversity specialists, the president of the Tutors' Association, experienced educators, and local schools, will be present.

Ms Parmar-Phillips, founder of Poppy’s Tutoring Company, said: "The aim of this event is to make that support feel more accessible, human and joined-up – without judgement, pressure or confusing educational language.
"We want parents to leave feeling better informed, more confident, and reassured that they are not navigating these challenges alone."
Ms Parmar-Phillips recently won the Professional Tutor of the Year, Secondary Tutor of the Year, and SEND Tutor of the Year awards at the National Tutoring Awards.
