Aston Service Dorset Ltd is a world-renowned, family-run automotive specialist that holds a highly unique place in British motoring history.

Celebrating their 95th anniversary this year and operating out of Ferndown, Dorset, this officially appointed heritage partner has spent nearly a century preserving the mechanical legacy of classic and modern Aston Martin and David Brown Lagonda vehicles.

The foundation of Aston Service Dorset stretches back to 1931 when Captain Ivan Forshaw established a business driven by his passion for Lagonda motorcars.

After serving in World War II, Forshaw returned to his business in 1946.

The company entered a historic phase in 1970 when David Brown offered Captain Forshaw the exclusive manufacturing rights for all post-war models up to 1962.

To manage these rights and the increasing demand on the business, Ivan was joined by his sons, Richard and Roger Forshaw.

Following Richard's passing and Ivan's later death at 95 years old, Roger headed the firm.

Today, the business is owned and managed by third-generation family member Antony Forshaw, a former Royal Marines Major who continues his family's artisan lineage.

As an officially appointed manufacturer and distributor, Aston Service Dorset is uniquely positioned to supply genuine components for models built between 1948 and current production cars.

They possess original factory build sheets, technical support data, and design drawings to recreate parts to exact original standards.

Their extensive parts store houses over fifty thousand catalogued items, catering to legendary heritage models from the DB2, DB4, and DB5 up to the modern DB7 Vantage and Vanquish S platforms and current production cars.

They dispatch these vital components to global destinations daily.

Beyond components, Aston Service Dorset manages an elite workshop and servicing facility.

Their fully equipped garage handles everything from standard annual servicing to full engine rebuilds and complex cosmetic restorations.

Utilising specialised diagnostic equipment alongside traditional craftsmanship, their mechanics service classic post-war models as well as modern Gaydon-era Aston Martins.

Because the facility carries massive internal stock, they ensure a swift turnaround time for routine vehicle maintenance.

For dedicated collectors, Aston Service Dorset remains the ultimate operational hub for keeping iconic British engineering alive on the road.

Aston Service Dorset is located on 73 Ringwood Road, Ferndown BH22 9AA.
