A road in Bournemouth will be closed for more than a month for cable installation works next month.

It is anticipated that the road closure will last from August 3 until September 7.

Vehicles will not be allowed to park, wait, or load/unload in the affected area.

While emergency services will still have access, residents are advised that access to properties will depend on the safety of the site.

A diversion will be in operation via Hendford Road, Kingswell Road, Howe Road, and Columbia Road.

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations.

Restrictions may be in effect under this order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the secretary of state.
