PUB chain Wetherspoon is opening a new venue in Ferndown after a £1 million development, with a "large beer garden".
The Cranborne Hundred opens on September 16 in Ringwood Road, taking over the former Smugglers Haunt Beefeater pub and restaurant.
Whitbread, the owner of Beefeater, said in May it planned to shut its branded restaurants, including its site in Ferndown, as part of a wider restructuring under consultation.
Wetherspoon says the new pub will create 50 jobs and be run by manager Rob Stephens, formerly of The King’s Head Inn in Salisbury.

Mr Stephens said: "Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers into The Cranborne Hundred and we are confident that the pub will be a great addition to the local social scene."
Wetherspoon says the name nods to Ferndown’s past, referencing the Cranborne Hundred, an ancient administrative division recorded in the Domesday Book.
By the 19th century, the Cranborne Hundred covered about 15 parishes and 34,000 acres; by 1871 it had more than 7,300 people.

Wetherspoon says it will serve family diners, with children allowed in until 9pm if accompanied by an adult.
The pub is wheelchair-accessible and has an adapted toilet for disabled customers.
A large beer garden is also located at the front of the building.
Food will be served throughout the day until 11pm, alongside real ales, traditional ciders, craft beers and world beers, including local and regional brews.
Wetherspoon says artwork and photos highlighting Ferndown’s history will be displayed around the pub.
