A LARGE emergency response was seen in Shaftesbury after a woman was found unresponsive.
On the morning of Wednesday July 8, Dorset Police received a report that a woman had been found unresponsive near Angel Lane.
Police and ambulance services were seen in the Angel Lane car park and a woman was confirmed to be deceased at the scene.
It is understood that the woman was aged in her 50s.
Officers have added that her death is not suspicious and their thoughts are with the woman's family and friends.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 7.38am on Wednesday 8 July 2026 that a woman had been found unresponsive in the area of Angel Lane in Shaftesbury.
"Emergency services attended and, very sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Her death is not being treated as suspicious and her family has been informed.
"Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time."
