A musician is set to take to the stage after nearly four decades battling illness.
Steve Heald, from Ferndown, will perform his first-ever concert on Saturday, July 11 at the Barrington Theatre after recovering from 39 years of living with ME.
He will be joined by saxophonist Marta Podzina for a one-hour performance.
The event will raise funds for Make-A-Wish UK and while entry is free, donations are encouraged.
Mr Heald said: "No child deserves to be sick but if you can help to give them a lovely experience."
He added: "We’ve been rehearsing for 18 months.
"It is my first concert ever performing.
"It will be one hour of funky music.
"Some are my own songs but there will also be classics for people to sing along."
The Steve Heald Band will perform a mix of original songs and well-known favourites at the concert.
Mr Heald said: "There will be a representative from Make-A-Wish there."
This performance marks a major milestone in Mr Heald’s recovery and artistic journey.
The concert will begin at 2pm and no booking is required.
A representative from the charity will be in attendance to support the event.
