A shopping centre in Dorset is launching a month-long celebration of sport.

The Dolphin in Poole will host a series of summer community events throughout June to mark the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the 2026 Wimbledon Championships.

As part of the activities, it has partnered with Poole’s indoor football centre, FTY Lab, to run a Fast Feet competition.

The event invites people of all ages to score as many goals as possible in one minute inside an interactive training ring.

The participant topping the leaderboard at the end of June will receive an official children’s England football shirt from Sports Direct.

The sessions, held outside Boots, will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout June.

No booking is required.

Carmen Davies, community manager at The Dolphin, said: "We’re thrilled to be working with FTY Lab to create a welcoming space where people can come together to stay active and share their passion for football during the World Cup."

FTY Lab will be at The Dolphin on June 20 to 21 and June 27 to 28.

The Dolphin will also replay World Cup matches from the previous night on its big screen from 10am throughout the tournament.

The 2026 Wimbledon Championships will be screened in-centre from June 29 to July 12.
