Vintage shepherd huts to be auctioned at Charterhouse

Fully restored and used for more than a decade as guest accommodation, the huts will be auctioned at the Charterhouse antiques and interiors auction on Friday, June 26.

Richard Bromell, director of Charterhouse Auctioneers, said: "The owner has owned both the shepherd huts for over 10 years but has decided to let new owners enjoy them."

Each hut includes bed frames, tables, and a wood burner.

Charterhouse said they could serve as guest accommodation, a peaceful workspace, or potentially generate a letting income through platforms such as Airbnb.

They are currently located near Shaftesbury and will need to be collected by the buyer, with Charterhouse able to recommend a transporter.

Each hut is estimated to sell for between £4,000 and £6,000.

Charterhouse has uploaded nearly 100 photographs of the huts on its website, where bidders can view the lots and take part in the live auction.

Mr Bromell and the Charterhouse team, based at The Long Street Salerooms in Sherborne, offer valuations for single items, collections, and entire house contents.
