A housebuilder has lent its support to a charity event helping to fund hundreds of hours of hospice care.

Barratt David Wilson Homes backed the Muddy Dog Dash event, held at Upton Heath Country Park on March 28, as a t-shirt sponsor.

All proceeds from the event, which raised enough to fund 700 hours of hospice care, went towards Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

The fundraiser saw dog lovers and their four-legged friends tackle a mud-filled obstacle course in aid of adults in Dorset with life-limiting illnesses.

Megan Hamlyn, marketing manager at Barratt David Wilson Homes, said: "We were really excited to be a part of this much-loved fundraiser.

"It’s a fun community event that brings people and pooches together for an inspiring cause, and we knew we wanted to be involved this year.

"We saw plenty of waggy tails, muddy paws, and smiling owners on the day."

The company said the sponsorship reflects its commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where it builds.

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care said the support made a real difference to delivering the event and their services.

Fiona Harwood, corporate partnerships manager at Lewis-Manning, said: "We’re incredibly grateful to Barratt David Wilson Homes for helping us put on this year’s Muddy Dog Dash.

"Sponsorships mean we can both deliver a brilliant event and continue to provide our exceptional hospice care and support.”
