This weekend sees the release of a supernatural horror reimagining, a comedy-drama described as a ‘love letter’ to Scotland, and a re-release of an iconic and influential Japanese anime film, all co-existing with other films in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole cinemas this weekend.

At the Odeon in Bournemouth, releases this week include Lee Cronin’s The Mummy, a reimagining of the The Mummy franchise, Glenrothan, a British comedy drama described as a ‘love letter’ to Scotland starring Brian Cox and Alan Cumming, and a re-release of 1988’s Akira, a Japanese anime cyberpunk action film widely considered a landmark of Japanese animation.
