The application includes the sale by retail of alcohol for consumption off the premises from 6am to midnight every day.
In addition to this, the store is also asking permission to provide late-night refreshment indoors from 11pm to midnight every day.
The application for the new licence comes under Section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003, which any interested parties can make representations against.
In order to do this, people must email Dorset Council or write to the licensing department at County Hall, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ.
The licensing register and details of this application may be inspected by contacting the licensing Section during normal office hours.
Anyone wishing to make representations has until April 28.
It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003 to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application, with the maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
