The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has called on locals to join a 'Seaside Scramble' to support its operations.

The event will launch on Saturday, May 9, at Baiter Park in Poole.

Anticipated to be a laughter-packed challenge, the benefits of participating extend beyond the amusement factor.

Families and friends can rally in support of the air ambulance’s cause, taking time out to run a 5K course riddled with obstacles tied to the organisation's operations.

As members of the community join in these festivities, they indirectly provide life-saving help in their own neighbourhood.

Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP) account for about one third of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance’s assignments.

Each challenge faced on the course means more help for those in need.

All participants will receive a free event T-shirt and finisher’s medal, and are encouraged to raise £50 in sponsorship to support the charity’s life-saving work.

The event commences at 9:30 and involves an entry fee of £20 for adults, £12.50 for children, and £60 for a family ticket, which covers two adults and two children.

The event welcomes support from the public at Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance's website.
