The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until March 24, 2026.

They are being introduced to facilitate works for new connection by SGN.

BCP Council has confirmed that, while full access for emergency services will be maintained, access to properties will depend on site safety.

However, the council has said the arrangements may be amended or extended if the works overrun or if weather conditions cause delays.

Although the anticipated end date is March 24, 2026, the temporary restrictions could legally remain in effect for up to 18 months under the terms of the order.

Any extension beyond this period would require approval from the secretary of state.
