MORE than 200 cyclists took on a 55-mile challenge for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance's 25th anniversary.

The Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge took place on Saturday, May 10.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities took part, either riding the 55-mile route from Watchet, Somerset, to West Bay, Dorset or a shorter 11-mile ride from Drimpton to West Bay.

The route consisted of back roads, climbs and descents.

The cyclists were cheered on by supporters throughout the route and at the three pit stops in Taunton, Ilminster and Drimpton.

First across the finish line was Bryn Miller from Crewkerne, the first lady was the charity’s own Dr Olivia Cheetham from Bristol and the first child was William Faulkner from Liskeard.
