An Emmerdale star who first made their debut six years ago has quit the show, with their final scenes being aired tonight.
Rachael Gill-Davis, who is known for playing Gail Loman on the ITV soap, will exit the programme after her character realises that she wants more from her life than working in her boyfriend's pub.
She then decides to move to Devon after telling Ryan that she is no longer in love with him.

The actress first made a brief appearance in 2019 before making a longer-term return in 2023.
However, despite her role as a bar worker at The Woolpack and having a secret child, she hasn't been a dominating presence on the show, leading many to believe that it was only a matter of time before she was axed.
In an interview with The Sun newspaper, an Emmerdale insider revealed that the ITV actress had agreed to leave the soap earlier this year.
