Antiques expert Paul Martin to host free valuation day

Antiques expert Paul Martin will host a free valuation day in Shaftesbury.

The TV personality, known for shows like Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip, will be at Shaftesbury Arts Centre on Thursday, April 24.

From 10.30am to 3pm, residents are invited to bring items for discussion, valuation and potential sale.

The event is in partnership with Devizes auctioneers Henry Aldridge & Son, where Mr Martin is head of valuations.

Paul Martin to host free antiques valuation day in Shaftesbury this April  (Image: Supplied)Mr Martin said: "Shaftesbury is a lovely town with a gorgeous history and architecture and I’m always amazed by the incredible items that turn up at these events.

"These days are not just about valuations—they’re about sharing stories and connecting with the community."

He is keen to see items ranging from antiques and collectables to silver, gold, militaria and jewellery.

The valuation day gives residents the opportunity to have their items appraised by an expert and gain insights into both their historical and monetary value.

Mr Martin said: "Whether it’s a family heirloom, a curious find from a flea market, or an antique that’s been gathering dust, I’m excited to hear the stories behind each piece."

Shaftesbury Arts Centre manager Charlie Hamilton-Saul said: "We are very honoured to have Paul Martin come to our arts centre."
