The following roadworks are being carried out within the BCP Council area by the council and various utility companies this week:

Arnewood Road – junction with Paisley Road: Temporary traffic signals on 21 October until 28 October during SSEPD installation works.

Bath Road – outside petrol station: Temporary road closure on 16 October until 22 October during SWW works to repair a burst mains. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Bourne Valley Road (Poole) – Gordon Rd to roundabout and onto Business Park: Temporary road closure on 18 October until 21 October during BCP highways improvement and resurfacing works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Bruce Hayes Close (Christchurch) – at junction with Lymington Road: Temporary traffic signals on 21 October until 1 November during CityFibre installation works.

Canford Cliffs Road (Poole) – junction with Links Road: Temporary traffic signals on 3 September until 29 October during SGN emergency repair works.

Carlton Road – outside 7: Temporary road closure on 21 October until 25 October during BCP highways works to make a connection to a sewer. Signed diversion route in operation.

Charminster Road – outside 77: Temporary traffic signals on 21 October until 25 October during SWW works to provide a new service.

Christchurch Bypass (Christchurch) – near Somerford Roundabout: Temporary carriageway restrictions on 24 October until 25 October during BCP works to repair a safety fence.

Clarence Park Road – junction with Christchurch Road to junction Rebbeck Road: Temporary road closure on 9 September until 25 October during SGN installation and maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Cranleigh Road – from junction with Watcombe Road to jct Seafield Road: Temporary road closure on 26 October until 3 November during SSEPD installation works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Dale Road (Poole) – junction with Ringwood Road: Temporary traffic signals on 7 October until 22 October during SGN installation works. 

Elgin Road – junction with Glenferness Avenue: Temporary road closure on 30 September until 21 October during BCP highways improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Gloucester Road – at railway bridge: Temporary traffic signals on 20 October until 21 October during SSEPD investigative works.

Gordon Road (Poole) – junction with Surrey Road: Temporary road closure on 18 October until 21 October during BCP highways improvement and resurfacing works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Hamilton Road – junction with Carysfort Road: Temporary traffic signals on 24 October until 28 October during CityFibre installation works.

Haymoor Road (Poole) - junction with Ringwood Road: Temporary traffic signals on 23 September until 1 November during SGN installation works.

Iford Lane – junction with Seafield Road: Temporary traffic signals on 14 October until 25 October during SSEPD works to make a new connection.

Kitchener Crescent (Poole) – outside 94: Temporary traffic signals on 25 October until 1 November during BCP highways installation works.

Links Road (Poole) – junction with Canford Cliffs Road: Temporary road closure on 6 October until 28 October during SGN emergency repair works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Livingstone Road (Poole) -outisde Livingstone Junior School: Temporary carriageway restrictions on 27 October during BT works to replace an existing pole. Signed diversion route in operation.

Magna Road (Poole) – outside 96 to junction with Hainault Drive: Temporary traffic signals on 6 September until 23 October during SGN installation works. 

Monkton Crescent (Poole) – outside 20: Temporary road closure on 14 October until 23 October during Wessex Water maintenance works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Oakley Lane (Poole) – outside Willett Arms public house: Temporary traffic signals on 11 October until 25 October during SGN emergency investigative and repair works.

Old Christchurch Road – in the footway and carriageway outside 217: Temporary road closure on 30 September until 3 November during BCP installation of a new sewer. Signed diversion route in operation.

Paisley Road – junction with Castlemain Avenue to junction with Watcombe Road: Temporary road closure on 30 September until 15 November during SSEPD works to make a new connection. Signed diversion route in operation.

Ringwood Road (Poole) – Mountbatten Roundabout to jct Mannings Heath Road: Temporary carriageway restrictions on 9 September until 12 June 2025 during BCP works to improve pedestrian crossing facility.

Rothesay Road – junction with Glenferness Avenue: Temporary road closure on 30 September until 21 October during BCP highways improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation.

Sea View Road (Poole) – Northbound from Ashley Road to Ringwood Road: Temporary road closure on 9 September until 17 February 2025 during BCP highways improvement works. Signed diversion route in operation. 

Southbourne Road – junction with Stourvale Rd to jct Parkwood Road: Temporary road closure on 18 September until 29 November during SGN installation works. Signed diversion route in operation.
