OFFICERS are issuing a CCTV images as part of an investigation into an assault in Bournemouth.
A woman in her 20s was running along a footpath to the River Stour when she ran past a group of four young people who were verbally abusive to her.
She ignored them but when she ran back past a short time later the group chased her and one of the female members of the group spat at her before punching her on the arm, causing bruising.
The incident occurred on Riverside Lane on August 18 at around 6.30pm.
Now, officers have released a CCTV image of a person they would like to identify in relation to the assault.
Police Constable Ran Hartman-Turner, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I am now in a position to issue an image of an individual we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone with information regarding their identity to please contact us.”
