AN AIR ambulance was called to assist in a late-night emergency at a Poole park.
Emergency services were alerted to reports of a toddler involved in a medical incident at around 7.30pm on September 28.
A Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance helicopter was also deployed to the scene at Branksome Recreation Ground.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital by a road ambulance.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance said: “I can confirm that Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance attended an incident in the Poole area on Saturday evening.
“It was reported as a medical incident involving a toddler. Our critical care team assisted on scene and ground escorted the patient by road ambulance to Poole Hospital.
“The team we provided consisted of a doctor and specialist practitioner in critical care, both of whom specialise in pre-hospital emergency medicine. The aircraft was crewed as usual, by a pilot and co-pilot.”
