VOLUNTEERS from J.P. Morgan worked together to pack more than 40,000 meals for families and children facing hunger in Africa.
Rise Against Hunger (RAH) is an organisation with an aim to make a global impact in the fight against hunger and as it states – it starts with a meal.
By empowering communities, nourishing lives and responding to emergencies it encourages other organisations to become involved to help achieve their aims.
J.P. Morgan worked in partnership with RAH and the event was extremely popular amongst its Bournemouth colleagues.
Healthy competition between the assembly lines led to a real spirit of camaraderie as different departments joined forces to help make a real difference. Enough meals were packed to feed more than 100 children in Zimbabwe for a year.
RAH is one of the firm’s ‘Signature Charities’ with similar events being run throughout the year globally at various J.P. Morgan locations.
Lottie Forte, vice president, community engagement, said: “There was a real buzz as the volunteers set about packing the meals and a great sense of achievement when the final box was complete.”
