A GROUP of teenage girls surrounded an elderly gentleman at Poole bus station, where a fight reportedly broke out.
Dorset Police received a report at around 6.55pm on Saturday September 21 of a fight involving a group of teenage girls and a man at Poole bus station.
Officers attended, and it was reported that one of the girls was assaulted by another girl in the group.
She was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
The man – aged in his 70s and from Bournemouth – was initially arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly in a public place and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was subsequently de-arrested while enquiries continued.
An investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
Officers are continuing to carry out regular patrols in the area and can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.
