THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:
CHLOE BREWSTER, 35 and of Knoel Road in Boscombe, was found guilty of being in charge of motor vehicle with alcohol level above limit, namely 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, in Benbow Crescent in Poole on April 22, 2023. She got ten points on her licence. She was also fined £120, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
MUSTAFA SALEH, 38 and of Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, admitted two counts of theft from a shop after stealing various perfumes valued at £762 from Space UK in Gervis Place in Bournemouth on March 9, and stealing a blender to the value of £139.99 from Homesense. He was ordered to pay £520.99 compensation.
CAROLYN KING, 44 and of Good Road in Poole, admitted driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit, namely 88 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, in Blandford Road in Poole on May 5. She was disqualified from driving for 12 months. She was also fined £153, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £61 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
ADAM CURTIS, 37 and of no fixed address in Poole, admitted failing to attend for / remain for duration of initial assessment following test for class A drug at the Recovery and Reintegration Hub in Ashley Road in Boscombe on April 29. He admitted failing to surrender to police / court bail at the appointed time at Poole Magistrates’ Court on September 13. He was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
SABRINA JEWELL, 36 and of Mellstock Crescent in Wareham, admitted four counts of theft from a shop after stealing from Tesco in Charminster Road in Bournemouth. She stole goods to the value of £29.90 on September 24, goods to the value of £164.85 on August 14, goods to the value of £36.25 on August 5, and goods to the value of £403.95 on August 13. She was ordered to pay compensation of £634.95.
STEPHEN MATTHEW SMITH, 52 and of Clifford Road in Winton, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Poole Magistrates’ Court. The community order was varied to contain new and varied requirements, and he was ordered to pay costs of £60.
EMMA COOPER, 42 and of Winfrith Crescent in Poole, admitted handling stolen goods at Richmond Hill Car Park in Bournemouth on February 11. Court records show she ‘dishonestly undertook or assisted in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, namely musical equipment, of approximate value £1,200’. She was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £400.
RICHARD JAMES, 48 and of Salisbury Street in Blandford Forum, was found guilty of common assault and assault by beating at the Kings Arms Hotel in Blandford Forum on March 25. He was handed a community order lasting until September 25, 2025, and banned from entering any pub, nightclub or bar in Blandford for a period of 12 months. He was also ordered to pay £200 compensation.
MARTIN OWEN, 32 and of Westwey Road in Weymouth, admitted assault by beating of an emergency worker, namely a police officer, in Weymouth Custody on September 25. He was jailed for 21 days.
