A MAN in his 30s had his leg broken outside Shaftesbury Football Club in Coppice Street.
Dorset Police reported that the victim had suffered the injuries on September 22 at around 1:20am and had to be taken to hospital following the fight.
After enquiries, a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
Police Constable Matt Barrett, of Dorset County CID, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish exactly what happened and how the man sustained his injuries.
“I would ask anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please contact Dorset Police.”
Since his arrest, the man has been released on police bail while the investigation into the incident continues.
Dorset Police have asked witnesses to come forward to help understand how the victim sustained his injuries.
