OFFICERS have been tackling anti-social behaviour and drug-related crimes during patrols in Bournemouth.
PC Lewis and PC Lewis were out on the streets on Saturday, September 21 as part of Operation Relentless.
The operation targets areas in Bournemouth known for drug-related crimes and antisocial behaviour.
The officers also covered hot-spot areas where they have received reports and took positive action to engage with the community.
Bournemouth police shared on social media: £The Lewis’s also took the time to chat with new students from Bournemouth University, as well as local residents and tourists.
“Many were excited to see the iconic custodian helmets, a symbol of British law enforcement since 1863.”
During one patrol shift the officers reunited a missing child with their parents on the beach, issued two community resolutions for drug offences, conducted five stop and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act and issued two dispersal orders for shoplifting and anti-social behaviour.
The post read: “In total, PC Lewis and PC Lewis clocked over 24,000 steps under the Bournemouth sun! We hope you all have a safe and enjoyable weekend.”
