A POLICE officer has been taken to hospital after a crash between a marked car and a Ford Fiesta in Bournemouth.
It was reported that the collision took place at around 7.30pm on Saturday, September 21 on Christchurch Road at the junction of Derby Road.
The road was closed between the junctions with Knyveton Road and St Swithun’s Roundabout while emergency services attended the incident.
The road was reopened at around 9.15pm.
A police officer was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police sergeant Lee Savage, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Officers were at the scene carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or captured anything of relevance on dashcam to please contact Dorset Police.
“We would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding while the road was closed.”
